i pretty much watch a movie a night, me and my husband have a HUGE dvd collection. plus, i often go to my local cheap theater ($3 a movie, hell yeah) to see movies. so, unless i REALLY wanna see a movie i most likely will wait until its in the cheap theater or until i can get it on netflix.
i just thought id share a few things about me.
my name is melissa and i'm married to the best guy ever, aaron. we've been married for a year and 3 months. we have two dogs, fuego (boston terrier) and fiona (rottweiler/boxer).
on to movie stuff.
i usually go for the serious movies or dramas. whatever you wanna call them. its just that horror movies tend to not scare me at all and its really really hard for me to find a comedy that i acutally think is funny. most of the time that excludes anything with will ferrel or jack black. i am a fan of action films, although i wouldn't just pick them out. sad romantic films are pretty much always good, while romantic comedys suck. again, mostly. i do like fanasty films. there is just so much thought that goes into making it... even though they do come from books a lot of the time. i love me some musicals. and anything with a hot actor in it i will watch. haha, sorry. for tv shows.. its drama all the way. i love anything packed with drama, even if it gets a little rediculas.
some of my favorite movies include: forrest gump, the devil wears prada, titanic, p.s. i love you, sex and the city the movie, & across the universe.
my favorite t.v. shows: sex and the city, the o.c., how i met your mother, jon and kate plus 8 (i am a kate supporter), america's next top model, & true blood.
those are just a few. the movies haven't changed in years (besides adding the last three) just because its what i grew up on. there are so many movies i love and i feel like if i put them all it would take hours, and i dont feel like doing that.
so lets get on with it.
this next part will be what my usual post will look like.
Movie of the moment:

so last night i went to the cheap theater and saw Did You Hear About the Morgans? i saw the preveiw and although its a romantic comedy and they usually suck, i love sarah jessica parker. its part of the whole sex and the city obsession. and of course hugh grant is always a cute face to look at. plus, the story line seemed different from most. so after sitting in the theater watching it for what felt like 3 hours i was very disappointed. it was SO boring and dragged out and ughhh. i regret seeing it. there were a couple funny parts, but of course they were all put in the trailor so it wasn't a surprise. ugh, so i was very disappointed. sarah jessica parker hasn't done a movie besides sex and the city for so long and i was just sad. anyway, i would reccomend if you saw this movie just to rent it on a boring night in. and get comfortable because it lasts forever.
TV show of the Moment:

me and my husband haven't had cable for months now, and i told my friend that. she felt awful for me and she just so happens to have a million tv on dvds. grey's anatomy season 1 just happens to be one she let me borrow. i had never even seen 2 seconds of an episode of grey's anatomy, but i always wanted to watch it. its got katherine heigl who i LOVE. she gorgeous haha. and of course patrick dempsey who is also gorgeous lol. i finished the first season last night, and actually watched the whole thing in two days. i lovvvveeddd it. its got the perfect amount of drama with just a little comedy. the romance part is great, and that's what makes it a chick flick. although, i think guys could totally like it too. so i give it 4.7 out of 5 stars. yes, its THAT good.
so that concludes my first post. i hope you enjoyed.
